Two run home run in 10th stops Christ Church sweep.

Christ Church took a one run lead with a run in the 9th inning of Game 3 on a pair of doubles only to see St. Matthews Baptist tie the game with a two out home run in the bottom on the inning.  CCUM again took the lead in the top of the 10th, but a 2 run home run in the bottom of the 10th gave St. Matt. a 6-5 win.  CCUM never trailed in Games 1 and 2, winning 5-3 and 7-2 for their fourth straight series win.

St. Matthews UMC opened Game 1 with four straight hits and scored 5 runs in the 1st inning.  They added 2 in the 3rd and 2 in the 5th for a 9-1 win.  But St. Matthews went the last 22 innings without scoring.  Christ Church did not do much better, scoring in only three innings all night long.  But 2 runs in the 6th inning of Game 2 and 2 runs in the 4th inning of Game 3 earned Christ Church a pair of 2-0 victories and a 2 games to 1 series win- their third straight

After sixteen innings of scoreless effort in Game 2 by both Watkins UMC and Christ Church, Jerry Hinton's 2 run home run in the top of the seventeenth inning gave CCUM a 2-0 victory.  In Game 1, CCUM scored three CCUM runs in the first inning and earned a 3-1 victory, which, coupled with the win in Game 2, gave CCUM their second straight series win.  Watkins used six doubles and two home runs to win Game 3 6-4.

Christ Church picks up series win vs. Crescent Hill

A 3 run home rum in the sixth inning gave Crescent Hill Baptist Church the victory in Game 1.  But CCUM bounced back to win a close 2-1 Game 2 and won Game 3 8-3, scoring 3 runs on four hits in both the first and third innings (all hits and runs in the first coming after there were 2 outs), and adding 2 runs on three hits in the sixth.
