After losing the first two games in extra innings Monday night versus Harvey Browne in Room 005, Christ Church salvaged Game Three with a 6-1 victory.
In Game One a second inning home run by Bob gave Harvey Browne a 1-0 lead.which Christ Church erased in the third on a triple by Terry Waddle and an RBI single by Mike Peak. But Christ Church was 0 for 9with runners on base in trying to score the run that would break the tie. Mike P had one out singles in the first and sixth; Leah Bennett had a two out triple in the eighth; and David Stierle tripled to lead off the ninth, But Christ Church went hitless in the 11th, 12th and 13th while Jennifer's home run in the top of the 13th broke the tie. The Final- Harvey Browne 2 - Christ Church 1.
In Game Two, Jennifer homered again, this time with Terry on for a 2-0 lead, In the fourth, David led off with a single and scored on a triple by Dick Lutz, He was driven in when Bob Stone followed with a single. Christ Church took their first lead of the night in the eighth on a single by Leah and a triple by David. A one out homer by Jim tied the game at three and his single and Bill's triple gave Harvey Browne the lead in the tenth. Christ Church failed to capitalize on: a one out single in the first by Mike P; a two out triple by Leah in the third; a lead off single by David in the sixth; as well as failing twice each after scoring in the fourth and eighth. In the tenth down 4-3, Terry Waddle reached on an error leading off the bottom of the tenth but three chances at the triple to tie the score all were fruitless. The Final- Harvey Browne 4 - Christ Church 3.
In Game Three, Christ Church never trailed after taking a 1-0 lead in the first, Mike P singled and scored on a triple by David. Fred's home run in the second tied the score, b ut two innings later Christ Church took the lead for good as Dick doubled and Charles Smith homered to make it 3-1. In the fifth, Leah singled and David tripled. In the seventh Kay Peak and Mike P doubled for a 5-1 lead. Dick closed out the scoring with an eighth inning HR. The only Christ Church hit not involved with the scoring was a third inning single by Leah. The Final- Christ Church 6 - Harvey Browne 1,
Christ Church ended the season in fifth place with a 32 - 34 record.

Christ Church Visits Watkins
After splitting the first two games, Christ Church managed only six hits and an error in Game Three Monday night. Mike Thompson had a pair of doubles; Frank Preston added a double of his own; Tom Bennett and Charles Smith singled; and Jerry Hinton reached on an error. The sixth hit was a third inning two out home run by Mike Peak for Christ Church's only run. But Watkins went hitless in the game and the run held up for the victory and the series win. The Final- Christ Church 1 - Watkins 0.
Watkins won Game One scoring eleven runs (three in the first, two in the fourth, five in the seventh and one in the eighth. After Leah Bennett singled in the first but was stranded, Christ Church cut the Watkins lead to 3-1 on a single by Jerry and a triple by David Stierle. Charles Smith doubled in the fourth, Mike P singled in the sixth and Dick Lutz also had a single in the eight. In the ninth Jerry singled and Bob Stone homered. The Final- Watkins 11 - Christ Church 3.

Charles lead off homer gave Christ Church the lead again but it lasted less than an inning as Jeremy homered again. Leah answered with a teo out home run in the seventh but Watkins again answered as Robin tied the game at 5-5 with a homer, In the eighth Jerry and Bob doubled back to back for Christ Church's sixth run which held up for the win. Jerry added a pair of singles and Dick and Leah had doubles. The Final - Christ Church 6 - Watkins 5.

Christ Church Drops Series
After losing the first game, league leading St. Matthews UMC came back to take the last two games Monday night at Christ Church.
St. Matthews took a 1-0 lead in Game One on a single by Carl and a triple by Carl II. After wasting a singles by David Stierle and Jerry Hinton and a double by Dick Lutz, a triple by David and an RBI single by Mike Thompson tied the score in the seventh. Christ Church's next hit came when Mike T. led off the tenth inning with a game winning Home Run, The Final - Christ Church 2 - St. Matthews UMC 1.
