Christ Church Salvages One Game

St. Matthews Baptist Church won two of three from Christ Church Monday night at St. Matthews.

Christ Church lost Game One by forfeit with only six players.  Mike Thompson had a pair of home runs in the game unofficially played out.  The Final St. Matthews Baptist - WIN by forfeit.

In Game Two, Jennifer Peak responded to an urgent call to permit Christ Church to finish the night with seven players and two Bozos.  Mike T. homered in the second to give Christ Church a 1-0 lead.  Bob Stone homered in the fourth, sixth, AND ninth innings to offset a fifth inning home run by Kelly.  Mike Peak and David Stierle added singles.  The Final- Christ Church 4 - St. Matthews Baptist 1.
 
Christ Church took an early first inning lead on a home run by Bob (his fourth straight).  St. Matthews Baptist had second inning home runs by Betty and Homer to lead 2-1 and stretched the lead to 3-1 on Betty's second home run.  Mike T.  cut the lead in half in the eight with a home run but that was all the scoring Christ Church could manage.  David added a single.  The Final- St. Matthews Baptist 3 - Christ Church 2.
