Christ Church hosted Watkins UMC Monday night and never led all night,
In Game One, Wendell's fourth inning home run opened the scoring. Tom Bennett got Christ Church's first hit, a single in the third, and tied the game with a fifth inning home run. A single by Doug and a triple by Andrew gave Watkins a 2-1 lead in the seventh and extended the lead to four with home runs by Gene and Wendell in the eighth. Andy Coates led off the bottom of the eight with a single and scored on a triple (RBI) by Tom. Watkins added a ninth inning home run by Jay. The Final - Watkins 5 - Christ Church 2.
In Game Two, Homers by Keith and Wendell in the first and a single by Andrew was followed by doubles by Barb and Gene in the second for a 4-0 lead. Tom doubled with two outs in the first but was stranded. In the second, Dick Lutz and Frank Preston doubled to make the score 4-1. Dick also homered in the fourth to move Christ Church to within two. Wendell answered in the fifth with a home run. Sydney Raderer singled in the fifth but was left on base. Mike Thompson again cut the lead to two with a sixth inning HR. But lead off single by Vince Richards in the seventh, a two out double by Mike T in the eighth, and a lead off single by Dick in the ninth failed to produce any runs. The Final - Watkins 5 - Christ Church 3.
In Game Three, Watkins put up five runs in the fifth on a double by Barb and home runs by Andrew, Jay, Dick and Keith. Doubles by Andrew and Barb added a run in the ninth. Christ Church had lead off singles from Jerry Hinton in the first, Mike Peak in the fourth, and Sydney in the eight but their only run was supplied by Bob Stone's home run in the seventh. The Final - Watkins 6 - Christ Church 1.

ST. MATTHEWS UMC TAKES SERIES
Christ Church snapped a six game losing streak by powering to a Game Three win Monday night at St. Matthews UMC.
In Game One, Christ Church took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning, Andy Coates tripled (RBI) with two outs to drive in Mike Peak who had led off the inning with a single. In the eighth, Leah Bennett started the inning with a single and scored two outs later on a triple (RBI) by David Stierle. But in he bottom of the eighth, back to back, two out home runs by Freddie and Russell tied the game and Herb's lead off home run gave St. Matthews the victory. Christ Church also got non-run scoring hits from: David, triple in the first; Bob Stone, single in the fifth; Mike P, single in the sixth; and Vince Richards, single in the seventh. The Final - St. Matthews UMC 3 - Christ Church 2.
Christ Church failed to score in Game Two. Jerry Hinton started the game in fine fashion with a lead-off single but died at on base. The same fate was suffered by Mike Thompson after a fourth inning double; by Jerry after a sixth inning single; and by Tom Bennett after doubles in the seventh and ninth. St. Matthews, meanwhile, got a pair of runs in the fourth on a single-triple-single by Carl1, Russell and Norman and another pair in the sixth, again on a single-triple-single by Russell, Norman and Bill. The Final - St. Matthews UMC 4 - Christ Church 0.

St. Matthews Baptist Church visited Christ Church on Monday night and left with three wins.
Christ Church took a 1-0 lead in the first inning of Game One on a single by Mike Peak and a triple (RBI) by Leah Bennett. That turned out to be Christ Church's only score as they could manage only two more hits over the next twenty-seven outs- singles by Andy Coates and Mike P. St. Matthews could manage only five hits themselves but four of those were home runs- Homer and Helen in the second; Barry in the fifth; and Bob in the sixth. The Final - St. Matthews 4 - Christ Church 1.
St. Matthews never trailed in Game Two putting up three runs in the second (Derald- error; Betty- HR; Barry- HR) and two in the fourth (Derald- double; Bob- HR). After a single by Andy in the second and a triple by Sydney Raderer in the third, a one out sixth inning single by Mike P and a two out triple (RBI) by Mike Thompson got Christ Church on the board for the first time since the first inning of Game One. In the seventh, Christ Church cut St. Matthews lead to one. Bob Stone singled and scored on a triple (RBI) from Dick Lutz. Frank Preston homered (2 RBI) driving in Dick in front of him. But Christ Church was hit-less over the last eight outs. The Final - St. Matthews 5 - Christ Church 4.
