In Game One Dick Lutz singled twice, in the first and sixth innings but five attempts over the two innings to drive him in failed. Jerry Hinton singled in the eighth but two attempts to score him left him stranded. Christ Church did take the first lead of the game on a second inning home run by Mark Nethary. Wade matched that and tied the game for Portland in the bottom of the third. In the fifth Vince Richards and Andy Coates (RBI) doubled back to back to give Christ Church a 2-1 lead. Three tries to drive in Andy from second also were unsuccessful as Christ Church stranded four runners. Mike E homered in the seventh to tie the game. In the bottom of the ninth with the score tied and one out, David homered to give Portland a 3-2 walk-off win. The Final - Portland 3 - Christ Church 2.
Portland took the lead in the bottom of the second inning in Game Two on a home run by Nike W. Christ Church was without a hit until the fourth when Leah Bennett singled and Jerry followed with a triple. Christ Church again went hit-less until the eighth when Mike Thompson was left on base after a double. With the game tied after eight innings, Leah tripled with one out. Jerry followed with a single (RBI) and was driven in by a triple (RBI) by Mike Peak. The Final - Christ Church 3 - Portland 1.
Christ Church scored one in the first and one in the second of Game Three. In the first it was a single by Don Meredith and a triple (RBI) by Leah. In the second it was a triple by David Stierle and a single (RBI) by Tom Bennett. A two run home run by Mike E tied the game in the fourth. Christ Church wasted a single by Tom in the fifth and a double by Mark in the sixth before getting back on the board in the eighth. Leah led off with a single and scored on a triple (RBI) by Mike P. Mark reached on an error to put runners on the corners. With two outs David singled (RBI) to score Mike from third. Christ Church added an insurance run in the ninth. Tom led off with a single. With two outs, Leah tripled to make the score 5-2. Portland tried to come back with their last at bats. David homered but that was all they could muster. The Final - Christ Church 5 - Portland 3.
