Christ Church fell behind 5-1 in Game one as Watkins scored on home runs by Gene (in the first), Wendell and Norm (in the third), Jay (in the fifth) and Ken in the sixth. Christ Church tied the game at one on a home run by Mike Thompson in the second. Leah Bennett singled in the second and fifth but was stranded both times. Christ Church cut the lead to one in the seventh. Leah singled with one out and was followed by a triple by David Stierle (RBI), a single by Dick Lutz (RBI) and a two out triple by Andy Coates. Trailing by one in the ninth, Leah singled and David tripled (RBI) to tie the game. After a scoreless tenth and a scoreless eleventh innings, Dick tripled to open the twelfth and scored on an RBI single by Tom Bennett. A two out single by Mark Nethary put runners on the corners. Mike T doubled (RBI) to add an insurance run. Watkins failed to score in the bottom of the inning. The Final - Christ Church 7 - Watkins 5.
Christ Church led Game two all the way from the second inning on after putting up three runs. Don Meredith reached on an error and was driven by an RBI triple by Leah. David's single (RBI) and Tom's triple (RBI) made the score 3-0. Don homered in the third and after a Watkins home run by Wendell the score stood at 4-1. In the fifth Andy led off with a home run, Vince Richards doubled, Mrack homered (2 RBI) and Mike T homered for an 8-1 lead. Ellen homered in the bottom of the fifth but that would be Watkins last score. In the sixth a single by Tom and a triple by Andy added one. Don's second homer in the sixth and a triple by David and a single (RBI) by Dick added two more runs. In the eighth Christ Church scored five more: Vince doubled; Mark reached on an error; Mike T doubled (RBI); Don homered for the third time (2RBI); Leah singled; Dick tripled (RBI); and Tom singled (RBI). In Game Three, Vince homered in the firat inning. Watkins tied it on a home run by Gary in the second. Don's home run in seventh put Christ Church on top again. With one out in the ninth, Watkins sent the game into extra innings on Jay's home run. The tenth was scoreless. In the eleventh, Tom led off with a single and scored on Andy's RBI triple. Watkins went three up-three down in the bottom of the inning. Mike T reached on an error in the first; Mark doubled in the fourth; Andy doubled in the ninth in a seven hit game.
